Two Chicago Firms Team Up To Enhance Claims Business
CHICAGO (April 26, 2004) – Hegemony Inc., an IT integration and consulting firm based in Wheaton, Ill., announced today a partnership with ClaimForce Inc., to be its software development and integration partner. William Edgar, president of Hegemony, and Dennis O’Mahoney, president of ClaimForce, will work together to implement ClaimForce’s one-of-a-kind systems that connect the insurance claims industry and claim service vendors. The current project the team is working on will enable national and regional rental car and claims insurance companies to compete in a marketplace that is currently controlled by a select few.
“The ClaimForce product will revolutionize the insurance claims business by helping rental car companies work with insurance carriers to make better decisions and control costs,” said Edgar. “Hegemony has all the tools to be the IT team that makes ClaimForce’s big picture concept a reality for it’s growing list of clients.”
Hegemony is responsible for refining and enhancing the technology infrastructure and for facilitating the systems integration for ClaimForce.
“This opportunity will ultimately enhance the bottom line for the end customer,” said Edgar. “With our strong understanding of systems development, the ClaimForce business strategy along with the apparent need for this technology in the insurance industry, all of the pieces are falling into place.”
The partnership was officially announced at a recent meeting in Phoenix, where Hegemony, ClaimForce and members of the insurance and rental car companies, such as Avis, Hertz, Farmers Insurance and American Family, were in attendance to meet the partner and better understand the value of the technologies that have been developed.
“Hegemony had the insurance integration experience and development background we were looking for in a partner,” said O’Mahoney. “Because of their experience, they naturally had strong understanding of our solutions and the direction we want to take our business.”
